The Sarasota Orchestra Friends sponsors a series of one hour Concert Previews prior to each Sarasota Orchestra Masterworks concert. These are an informative and enjoyable opportunity for any classical music lover to learn more about music and to heighten appreciation of the works featured in that week’s concert.

Coffee and light refreshments, provided courtesy of Hotel Indigo, will be served at 10:00 am and the Conversation will begin promptly at 10:30 am.
Phillip Gainsley has been giving talks on music and musical theater including opera and ballet for nearly 40 years. He has served as a panelist on the Opera Quiz heard during intermission on the Saturday live radio broadcasts from the Metropolitan Opera.

Jonathan Spivey completed his master's degree in South Carolina and a doctorate at NYU at Stony Brook. Spivey joined the Sarasota Orchestra as principle pianist in 1991 and performs with the Sarasota Piano Quartet.
